Six hours to southern Perak
Teluk Intan sits on the Perak river in the south of the state, around 520 kilometres from Singapore and six to six and a half hours away. The town is best known for its leaning clock tower, which has been tilting quietly for well over a century, and it serves as a local centre for a wide agricultural area around it. Most of the journeys we run there are family visits and work travel rather than holidays, which makes arriving on time and with everyone together the thing that actually matters.
Getting a long drive right
Six hours is long enough that the small decisions add up. We plan at least two rest stops on the expressway as standard, and we will add more without fuss if anyone in the group needs them. Departure timing is worth a conversation: leaving Singapore early generally clears the checkpoint before it builds and gets you there with the evening intact. Choosing the right van matters too — on a drive this length, the difference between a vehicle that fits your group and luggage properly and one that technically seats everyone is felt for the entire journey, so tell us the headcount and the bag count together.
