Eastern Johor without the connections
Kota Tinggi is about seventy kilometres from Singapore and an hour and a half to two hours away once the checkpoint is accounted for. It is a historic town in its own right, best known to visitors for the waterfalls in the hills nearby, and it is also the junction most east-coast Johor trips pass through on the way to Desaru, Penggerang and the jetties beyond. Getting there from Singapore without your own vehicle usually means several connections. A private van removes all of them: one pickup at your Singapore address, one crossing, and a drop at your Kota Tinggi destination.
A stop on the way, or the destination itself
Roughly half our Kota Tinggi bookings are people going there, and half are people passing through on the way somewhere further east. Both work, but they are priced differently, so it is worth being clear when you enquire. If Kota Tinggi is the destination, a point-to-point transfer is what you want. If it is one stop among several — the waterfalls, then on to the coast — a day charter keeps the van and driver with you and lets you set the itinerary as the day unfolds. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and we will tell you which of the two actually costs less.
